Why do I need to use a condom?
Condoms are the only form of protection which can both help to stop the transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as HIV or Chlamydia and prevent pregnancy.
What happens if my condom splits?
If the condom splits and you think you might be pregnant you can take the emergency contraception pill up to 3 days (72 hours) or have a coil fitted up to 5 days (120 hours) later. The sooner you act the less likely you are to be pregnant .
Some pharmacists will be able to provide the Emergency Contraception Pill to you for free.
How do I get a C-card?
The first step is to register and get your C-card. A C-card is a plastic card which is your passport to using the C-card network and collecting free condoms. To find your nearest C-card assessor visit the assessors page.
Where can I get condoms?
Once you've got your C-card you can get free condoms from any of the C-card points shown on the outlets page.
Is using a condom effective?
Using a condom properly is a very effective way of avoiding an unwanted pregnancy and reducing the chances of getting a Sexually Tranmsitted Infection such as Chlamydia and HIV.
